Accessibility Service — Unlock Quick Clipboard Access
Pro Feature
The Accessibility Service integration is a Pro feature.
Enabling the Accessibility Service allows CrossPaste to automatically record new clipboard content without switching to the foreground. This provides a seamless, hands-free clipboard experience.
Enable the Accessibility Service
- Open your device's Settings.
- Navigate to Accessibility > Downloaded apps (path may vary by device).
- Find and enable CrossPaste.
Privacy
CrossPaste's Accessibility Service is designed with privacy in mind:
- It only monitors specific clipboard-related events.
- It does not read your screen content, passwords, or other sensitive data.
- All data stays on your device and syncs only over your local network.
Functions
- Auto-record new clipboard content: Whenever you copy something, CrossPaste captures it automatically in the background.
- System-level shortcut access: Access clipboard functions without opening the CrossPaste app.
Accessibility vs. Floating Button
| Accessibility Service | Floating Button | |
|---|---|---|
| Mode | Automatic | Manual |
| How it works | Records clipboard in the background | Tap to view clipboard |
| Requires interaction | No | Yes |
Choose based on your preference — or enable both for maximum convenience.
Notes
- Some device manufacturers (OEMs) may disable accessibility services after a device reboot. If this happens, CrossPaste will prompt you to re-enable the service.
- The Accessibility Service has minimal performance impact on your device.
