CrossPaste (hereinafter referred to as "the Software") is operated by Shenzhen Compile Future Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "SCF"). Before installing, accessing, or using the services provided by CrossPaste, please read and understand these Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement") carefully.
By using the Software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to any part of this Agreement, please stop using the Software immediately.
1. Description and Nature of Services
CrossPaste is a cross-platform clipboard management and synchronization tool focused on privacy and efficiency.
- Core Features: Includes but is not limited to clipboard history, multi-device LAN synchronization, content search, and management.
- Mechanism: The Software operates primarily over a Local Area Network (LAN) and utilizes end-to-end encryption technology to ensure data security.
- Changes to Service: We reserve the right to adjust, optimize, or terminate certain features at any time based on business development needs.
2. Open Source Statement and Licensing
CrossPaste actively supports the open-source community, and the core code for its desktop client is released under an open-source license.
- AGPL License: The CrossPaste desktop application is open-sourced under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.
- Compliant Use: You are free to run, study, modify, and distribute the source code of the open-source portions, provided you comply with the terms of AGPL v3.
- Proprietary Components: Please note that the CrossPaste brand identity (Logo), UI design, official documentation, and closed-source components for specific platforms (if any) are not covered by the open-source license and may not be used without prior written permission.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
- Software Copyright: CrossPaste has obtained Software Copyright Registration from the National Copyright Administration of the People's Republic of China.
- Brand Rights: The "CrossPaste" brand name, icon, and related visual designs are protected by trademark laws and other relevant regulations.
- Prohibited Actions: Without our explicit written authorization, you may not use the Software for any form of commercial resale, leasing, or engage in activities such as cracking, reverse engineering, or removing proprietary notices.
4. User Conduct Guidelines
You agree to use the Software in a lawful and compliant manner and strictly adhere to the following rules:
- Legality: Do not use the Software to transmit, store, or distribute content that violates local laws and regulations.
- System Security: Do not engage in malicious attacks, distribute viruses, or attempt to bypass the Software's security mechanisms.
- Non-Abuse: Do not use the Software for illegal data scraping, unauthorized large-scale automated operations, or to interfere with the normal use of other users.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties (Important)
The Software is provided "As Is" without any warranties of any kind.
- Performance Guarantee: We do not guarantee that the Software will run without errors on all hardware environments or operating system versions, nor do we guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Data Security Risks: Although we use asymmetric encryption technology to protect data transmission, due to the complexity of the internet and local network environments, we are not liable for data loss caused by force majeure, hardware failure, or third-party malicious attacks.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.
6. Modification and Termination
- Policy Updates: We may revise this Agreement from time to time. The revised terms will replace the original ones once published. We recommend you check this page periodically.
- Termination of Service: If you violate any terms of this Agreement, we reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Software at any time without prior notice.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- Governing Law: The formation, execution, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
- Dispute Resolution: In the event of any dispute regarding the content or execution of this Agreement, both parties shall first attempt to resolve it through friendly negotiation. If a settlement cannot be reached, you agree to submit the dispute to the People's Court of competent jurisdiction in Shenzhen.
