CrossPaste's search function not only supports quickly finding historical pasteboard content but also enables quick pasting across software, significantly improving your work efficiency.

Basic Usage

1. Use the shortcut key to bring up the search window.
2. Enter keywords in the search box.
3. Select the desired pasteboard content.
4. Press the Enter key to directly paste the selected content into the currently active application.

• CrossPaste uses spaces to separate multiple search terms.
• Search results will display pasteboard content that contains all entered search terms.

Matching Rules for Different Types of Content

• Files: Match file names (for multiple files or folders, any file name matching is sufficient)
• Images: Match image file names
• Links: Match the complete link string
• HTML: Match text content within HTML
• Text: Match text strings

Advanced Filtering and Sorting

To more precisely locate target content, the search window provides the following additional features:

1. Favorites Filter:

   • Click the favorites button to display only favorited pasteboard content.

2. Sorting Method:

   • Use the sort button to toggle the result sorting method (ascending or descending by creation time).

3. Content Type Filter:

   • Select a specific pasteboard type to display only results containing that type of content.

TIP

The bottom right corner of the window will show which application the currently selected pasteboard content will be pasted into. Checking this prompt ensures your paste operation meets your expectations.
